Chronicles of a toxic sibling.

12-25-20: During a family Zoom video chat, my older sister (by 8 yrs) Toxina, made yet another condescending comment to my husband when he spoke about one of his school's policies. She is a college professor. My husband is a high school teacher, who for context, dared put her in her place several years ago by besting her in a discussion by proving she was wrong in front of others. Toxina has to be THE SMARTEST in the room. Since my husband, in her warped mind, "got the better of her" one time in a discussion long ago, she has taken every oportunity since to belittle him in whatever manner she thinks she can get away with. Very mature.

Reality: she has the emotional maturity of an 8-year old (coincidentally, the age she was when I was born.) Before that, for 8 years she was the only girl between two boys in the family. Outwardly she tells everyone "how relieved" she was to have finally have another girl around since she'd been outnumbered. Her behavior since then tells another story..a story that only I seem to see.

With me, she has a pattern of treating me like shit, never apologizing like an adult, but instead, she will either send me a funny text the next day when she realizes what a bitch she was (which she never would do otherwise, as we dont communicate unless we have to) or she sends me some kind of present to "smooth things over," like I'm some kind of abused child. When she needs something, she'll often treat me like I'm her employee or bitch.

We dont have a good sisterly relationship because I grew up and no longer put up with her shit, and she is a delusional narcissist. She continues to send me random birthday presents...the latest being a little silver charm for "SISTERS," like we are best friends. Its really quite sad, because we arent friends.

Pathetic.

Toxina is a classic gaslighter. You try to call her on her shit, she denies it.

So, I decided to start documenting her shit in detail when it happens so I will have a clear record. No more.
